Our Track Record

In 2020, Commonwealth Leaders Fund (CLF) fended off well-funded attacks from the Left to help elect or re-elect multiple legislative champions to the state House and Senate, including Rep. Rob Mercuri and Sen. Scott Martin.

These and other CLF-supported lawmakers have led on issues including expanding education opportunity, opposing Gov. Wolf’s executive overreach, and strengthening Pennsylvania’s business climate.

That same year, CLF played a singular role in electing Republican Tim DeFoor as auditor general, marking the first time an African American was elected to a statewide row office in Pennsylvania and the first Republican elected state auditor general in more than 20 years

In 2021, Commonwealth Leaders Fund was the largest supporter of rule-of-law Supreme Court candidate Judge Kevin Brobson. With our support, Judge Brobson won a highly contested election and now serves as a justice on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

And in 2022, amid a difficult year for free-market candidates, we elected multiple pro-free-market champions to the House and Senate.
